Programme to auto start other programmes?

Is there a little bit of software I can get that will auto open another app while I am away for the computer? Say so I could set it to open it at 10pm and so on?

    Cheers.

    DOH

Tired this and although it seems it will do the job I want it to, at the moment it won't start the programme until I enter a user account password.

Anyone know how I find out what this password is? I don't remember ever making a password for anything on my computer.

    Cheers.

    Tried what?

Have you tried the "Scheduled tasks"?

You could run a batch file that had the command in to start the program.

Or you could use the "AT" Command.

Type "AT" at a command prompt (without the quotes)

Iv'e tried useing the Scheduled Tasks, and I get the message saying the programme was not started because there was no user account password.

How do I find my user account password? I don't recall ever setting one up.

Are you leaving the computer logged in? If not, that would be the problem, I think!

If you are, then perhaps you could tell us what you are trying to run?

    Thanks for the help

How do I tell if I am leaving it logged in? I guess I am, I'm not doing anything apart from turning the monitor off and going to bed. The programme I'm trying to run is Newsleecher.

If you go to Control Panel/User Accounts you could create another administrator and give it a password. Try using this to run the task.

I did not need to make another account in the end. Just assed a password to mine and all works fine now

    Thanks for your help.
