Neither, you're still using black and red
agree about the black and red, but I'd use the first as standard and the second as rollover...and maybe give the red letters a v.subtle tight white dropshadow

95% of the site is different colours, it's just the subheadings and the main logo which is that, everything else is different .Originally Posted by KeZZeR

I think that shade of red on black makes it slightly difficult to read. Out of the two, the first one is better.
"Well, there was your Uncle Tiberius who died wrapped in cabbage leaves but we assumed that was a freak accident."
Well, the thing is, the site "logo" type thing, is based so that the first letter of a word is red, and the rest white, with a blue glowing outline, so yeah.. I guess i could use something else for the sub catagory's.. I'll see what i can come up with.
I would have to agree with that, however if you really want to use black and red then i would go with the first image. To make it clear just make the height of it taller so that theres more black and then stick the text in there. At the moment the text overlaps the grey bars at the top and bottom, this makes the text hard to read. Will be interesting to see what you've come up with.Originally Posted by KeZZeR

No, Sponsors.
You need to back the hell away from the Photoshop effects.
Gradient background: nice
Pattern overlay: bad
If you want proper pixellated text you need to turn off anti-aliasing.
right.. so the background is good, i just need to work on the text.. ok. thanks.
btw, which colour do you like best?
