theres always a solution!!!
if u want to have french menus on ur windows juz go n download the french MUI pack.
MUI: Multilingual User Interface
it works like this http://www.ficorp.com/intl_2000.html#Multilingual
(the example given was based on win 2k but it works on winxp with winxp MUI packs as well)
heres the MUI code you ll need before you run the MUI command.

heres how to apply MUI code on your current system (both win 2k/ win xp)

Doesn't work, it says the muisetup is not a recognised as an internal or external command, operatable program or batch file
Actually now it asks me to open it with a specific program? Any idea's
probably need a windows mui from torrentspy or something if you arnt a MSDN subscriber.... but who is.
I have to expand the files. I have a muiltlng file with an .OS_ any ideas to what this expands too?
Sorry i have no idea how its done.
I have expanded that, but I think I need other files too
check this link here

Any ideas where I can download it. I can only find 200MB files on bttorrent, no seeds and what come up as MUI under Microsoft's website search only works for Windows XP Embedded (what is this? a PDA version of Windows?)
Woohoo now Assistant Manager!
Sorry about the doble post but its been a while - so BUMP.....
[EDIT] from what I can see MUI for Windows XP is something that only companies that buy (hence the volume purchase pointer on Microsoft's site)
Woohoo now Assistant Manager!
