    Worm mtyob.fc

Well, having soent two long long evenings trying to suss this little critter out, as its on in 14 files on a friends daughters PC, I was pulling my hair out.

However....I went to Trends web site (having already used their indespensible "House Call" service to finf the problem in the first place....
and down loaded a removal tool and the latest definition for it. I then ran it in Safe Mode, and on reboot it was back

SOOO>..after much faffing....this is how I got shot of it.

    Boot to Safe Mode
Run the Virus/Worm Removal Tool AIMED at the correct directory, so as to not scan the enitre PC everytime.....run it FIVE TIMES !!!!

Then reboot to XP, run it once more AND THEN use System Restore and go back to a time BEFORE it was on there (the Mytob files, once located, show ehrn they were created.....well they did for me)

    And its gone

    oh bugger..its BACK!!!

How clever IS this little git? 3 reboots, installing a Simms 2 for the lass before handing it back, quick trip to Housecall....BANG.

It's back! Then its not on the next scan

Gonna try the Norton tool now!!
