wtf.. Unable to copy and paste?

installed windows last night as you do..

now i try to copy and paste any file and it wont even add the file to the clipboard and wont give me the option to paste

any ideas anyone really bugging me this one i have mcafee av and firewall installed and i am using 2k pro

i am sure i have had this before but have forgot how i resolved it

could be a virus. blaster worm did that to some people's pcs at work - is your av software up to date? have you installed all the patches on windows 2000?
