Exchange 2003: Alert all users when reminder added to calendar

Hello All, again im back with more outlook/exchange queries.

I want to alert a group of people/contacts whatever, when i add a reminder to a calendar in our public folders (folder list).

its not something everyone wants to be invitied to, i want them to receive an email saying "a new reminder has been posted, check the public calender"

    or something along those lines.

dont use exchange , use a sharepoint portal and subscribe users to the folder - when its updated they get a reminder.

if you run SBS 2003 , there are templates on companyweb for this

that looks like an option but will have to run it by others, apprently theres the possibility of adding a rule for exactly our needs? if theres not, will have to look into SBS.

just tried to add a rule and it would appear we do have SBS, just gotta learn how to config a rule :S

if you run sbs 2003 then you shoudl have the built in sharepoint portal ( called companyweb - point your browser at https://companyweb and you should get to it ( if your SBS has been set up correctly )

you'll see a sample vacation calender on there - I'm sure you can subscribe to this so that when it changes , you get a mail )

well maybe we dont then, the url doesnt register, so we cannot have it setup.

the real question - now that appears to be half the answer - is, will SBS link to our already setup public calendar?
