    Swapfile (not size advice!)

    Lo there,

I have a raid0 setup with my swap file currently on a partion on the raid setup.

Any ideas if i would see improved performance if i moved the swapfile to a different physical disk (eg, would benifit on the seperate access) or would the performance decrease due to the slower speed of the single non raid'ed disk?

Does anyone have any pointers for a application that would help me test this?

benchmark it, swap it, benchmark it. or just swap it and see if you notice the difference.

What application would you suggest to benchmark these changes?

I assume things like sandra and 3dmark wouldnt be sufficent.
