it does look very nice, but I think people seem to be forgetting that the look of longhorn is not important its the new engine and techniques behind the OS, although they appear to be getting pulled a lot of late.

It all looks nice, but if there is not much improvement performance wise, then why not just release a nice make-over pack for xp to make it look nice and maybe fix a few bugs too.

At least linux seems to be try to improve its self all the time with releases every few months (i know they are behind in desktop terms but atleast they are trying to add new things), there is a lot more promise with open soure at the moment, they dont keep dropping features like in longhorn and its all free so it doesn't matter if you dowjnload them via bittorrent

nope. It looks ugly and bloated. I will be staying with win2k for now, does everything I need.

IE7 is just wrong. Address bar should be below the bar showing tabbed windows, and menu should be at the top.
I expect its all movable, and whover took the picture wanted to make it look crap.

keep up...they dropped the new interface due to time issues, but I think they kept the engine in for the "directX style" desktop interfacing.

also Jonneymendoza, is there any chance you can type in plain english I'm stuggling to follow your posts, I had to look at that one twice with just the number 2 instead of to

I love the way they have a "How to report a bug" icon on the desktop. Signs for the future? I can do all the fancy graphics stuff in xp so whats so good about Longhorn?

Faster, more secure, easier to use, no bugs?
