Burning RealVideo (.rm) files to VCD or DVD

I want to burn some .rm files to either VCD or DVD format.

I've tried quite a few applications, but the results have been pretty poor, and ideally I would like a recommendation from someone who's actually done this before.

Can anyone recommend a decent application (preferably free or less than £50)?

    thanks

Do they have sound? if not you can record them with fraps which will make AVI's which you then transcode into mpg.
Fraps works by recoding whatevers in the graphics cards buffers.

You might need to make sure vsync is on and at a multiple of the framerate your using on the DVD, and edit the frame rate before transcoding to mpg, to get good results.
Also run the video at the final resolution for the dvd and crop the AVI, it will have better results than downsizing a full screen video.

I dont think the internal workings of the RM video format are even known so any such tool to do it directly would have to come from real, which I doubt would be free and I assume youve already looked there. I would be suprised if there is no such tool.

A quick search of sourceforge doesnt find anything usefull...

    Yes they have sound.

There are quite a few tools that do it - not sure if they have access to the RM video format or not, but the ones I've tried don't really give satisfactory results.

    thanks anyway

Fraps (version2) can do sound, but the demo is limited to 15 second clips. Costs ~£20 for full version...
