Nero 5.5 burning at 40 x. CD 1 and 3 are fine! Mine always messes up when it gets to XPDF package. It does fail the MEdia check if you run it. I used MD5Summer and it checked out alright when I tested the image!!!
May try easy CD or something unless someone has a suggestion.

When you say they 'dont work', how do you mean? I take it they dont boot? Can you read them in windows? If you can, then did you try boot disks for the distro?

I tend to prefer downloading by bittorrent as you can let it run the # check over the file again after its finished to see if it looks ok.

If the "finalize CD" option isnt ticked then this would most likely explain it - although for a fair size iso that fills almost all the cd you should have got a warning message asking you if you want to finalise otherwise it wont fit on the cd.

When you say you used Nero - you did use the 'burn image' option via the file menu rather than the standard drag and drop iso dialog?

Hmm... dont know about linux boot cd's - perhps one of the more experienced linux peeps can answer?

For windows, have a look at your cd rom writing software.
For nero - here. Um, this still isnt much help at all

Maybe have a look at the redhat page for other boot cd solutions... however if you have a tempermental system that isnt booting cd's properly (I used to have 1 system that wouldnt boot alot of cd's and another that wouldnt boot DVD's) then you kind of need to keep a floppy in it - at least to get you started.
