    Re-partition WIN XP PRO

    i just built a system an started it up and installed WIn XP pro..... it asked me about a Partition. I chose to break my 80gig into two 40 gig drives.. HOW CAN I CHANGE MY PARTITION BACK TO 80 GIG.

    i have tried to format within Win XP, but it wont let me.


    Please Help me Re-partiontion my drive back to the way it was.

    You will need the aid of Partition Magic, you can delete partitions and reallocate space without destroying your windows drive.
    Other than that im afraid i cant help, i dont believe there is a free way of doing it with any of the inbuilt utils in windows

    windows can't do non-destructive partition editing. you need to use partition magic.

    You can kind of do it......

    Have the second Partition as a mount point in the first partition.

    (essentially the second partition becomes a folder in the first partition)

    u need to fdisk it in dos
    or if you r not that clever

    use partition magic
