I use the hibernate feature of XP, so boot up times are pretty short. Hibernate rocks.

I use the BootVis.exe Tool its a good bit of kit and should be part of windows (like tweak UI) under advanced settings.
I've also emailed it to you 'evildoc614' - enjoy. It can be still downloaded from Majorgeeks too.

Mine takes almost a minute..
Windows98 doesn't boot particularly fast. But the main lag (in my case) is detecting the SCSI devices in my PC.
Mine seems to take ages to boot...but thats caus i have had XP installed for nearly a year and i got a lotta Programs installed!!
2100XP System - 15secs BIOS, 20Secs Loading, 10Secs Programs
2000XP System - 5 secs BIOS, 6Secs Loading (installed this evening), instant programs (only MSN)!
1.1Ghz Duron @ 1.65Ghz - 10Secs BIOS, 20Secs Loading, 5secs programs
533Mhz - 15Secs BIOS, about 6mins booting (Linux, lol), 0 programs

No question Xp is much faster to load (by miles) than any pevious MS OS. I can do 12 secs to the log on screen on Pro time after time
