    Microsoft Money alternative

    Hey all

I decided I want to keep a better track of my finances, and produce pretty reports to soften the blow off my spendings!

However, as far as I can see Microsoft Money only supports US banks, which sucks. I want something to check my Lloyds TSB statements for me Any ideas on alternative?

    Regards,

    Toby

SAGE.Not sure if they have anything which will help you, but schools and colleges often use/teach a sage product instead of MS Money. Check it out, might be somthing there for you.

Thanks, but as far as I can see (as you stated) its not so much aimed at the home user. I found Quicken, but also found this message on their site..

    Important notice for Quicken Users:

Intuit UK has made a difficult business decision to discontinue future development of Quicken products for the UK market. To help customers affected by this decision, we will continue providing access to Quicken customer support and online services through to the end of January 2006.

    Key Dates

    * Quicken withdrawn from sale: 31, January 2005
    * Phone support (Quicken XG, 2004) until: 31, January 2006
    * Email support (Quicken XG, 2004) until: 31, January 2006
    * Online support until: 31, January, 2006
Which is basically the same reason why I decided not to use MS Money o_O

Microsoft Money does support UK banks, you just need the UK version. I'm running Money 2004 and it works fine

Yes, but have you seen the reviews on Amazon UK for the current version? If I were the lead developer, I'd be hoping for someone to leave a revolver in my desk drawer, if you know what I mean.

My family use 2004 to manage the entire family accounts & have done for several years without a problem.

Its used with A&L, Natwest & HSBC, also used for monitoring our shares

I got the basic one for £10. It is pretty good, supports RBS and Marbles, but not ING. However it was fairly easy to setup, not hugely accurate, but it helps me keep a general eye on my finances.
