Viewing pics on a DVD player

OK, so my Dad bought a new digital camera lately and he wants to be able to put the pictures onto a CD so it can be played on a DVD player and the pictures can be viewed on the TV. Is there a program that can do this, or is it dependant on the type of DVD player?

    Cheers.

Well, im sure there are progs which will make a photo DVD (or VCD)

    - Buy my DVD player can handle stright Jpegs on disk, so i just whack the photos onto a cd and get it to display them, so ive never try to do anything more clever'er than that!

I use Nero to make VCDs, my DVD player (Pioneer DV-444) dosen't seem to know what to do with a disc of jpegs, nor does the Sony RDR-GX3 downstairs.

depends entirely on the dvd player tbh.

you could probably generate a slideshow, convert it to video and burn it as a dvd which will read on any player thou
