    Alt tag in Mozilla

    Hello,

The ALT tag in Mozilla doesn't work, I know you need to use another code (TITLE) - but why did they change it in the first place? Why not just keep it the same as IE?

    Anyone know?

(ah just found this: http://lists.ssc.com/pipermail/linux...ly/012902.html which vaguely explains it...)

    Josh

That link is right - it is IE that doesn't use the alt attribute properly. Of course, there are lots of other things that IE doesn't do properly... I'm about to try a hack for table borders.

yup.. what a surpise.. IE is wrong.. and has been since day 1!
Title tags should be used to display details about the image...
Alt (alternative text) should only be used if the image cannot be displayed to the browser..

what a shocker.. M$ screw up the interweb yet again!
