Everytime i reboot i get the message "Windows needs to be activated in * days - activate now yes/no?". But it is. When i press 'yes' to go through the activation again, all i get is a message say "Windows XP is alreay activated" :rant:
Anyone had this before? Whats going to happen when i run out of time?
Should have an option to activate it via phone, do that...unless you have something to hide ;)

ah - hold on - OEM copy of Windows was it? A friend of mine just had that with an OEM copy he bought, and had a nightmare convincing MS to activate it.
Indeed it an OEM. But the activation screen is not accessable (just says it already activated - no options). How are MS going to reactivate it if there is no activation screen? I'm worried i will have to re-install windows to get t properly activated. I have only just finished getting it sweet. God damn Windows activation!!!
to deactivate windows....
open regedit
navigate to...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current Version\WPAEvents
in the right pane you should have OOBETIMER
right click it
go to modify
change at least one value of this to deactivate windows
you may need to reboot
