Torrent was best way to go - I was 950th in line for 'normal' download! Torrent took 6 hours!

After much pausing and resuming for bf2 reasons, I finally have it, hmmm how do I install it without going out and getting a cd writer, kind of defeats the point

Try getting hold of a copy of Daemon Tools, that allows you to create a virtual CD drive, then you can mount the .iso file and it will run as if it was a CD...

Linux install cd's need to be run from boot unfortunatly.

installing without burning the cd is a world of pain, and quite possibly can't be done with a kids' distro like linspire.

in theory, it could be done if you have a second PC to act as an NFS, DHCP, BOOTP and PXE server.

net access should be in theory easier to setup now i dont have a usb modem and use a router shouldnt it?
