OK, how do i get rid of this? these adds are driving me crazy.

I have deleted all my cookies but with no sucess (and i didnt see a tribal fusion cookie there)

Anti spyware does not pick it up (spy sweeper and M$)

There are tribal fusion adds everywhere, and all over hexus!

is this cookie anything to do with it?

I fail to see what the problem is. I always get the ads in the same places. Are you saying those ads have given you spyware??

So hexus uses tribal fusion? cause the adds are from tribal fusion, as far as i can tell, the tribal fusion spyware replaces the normal website adds with its own. There is a proper HEXUS pricefinder add there now but then there will be one of those jumping "you have one message waiting adds" if i refresh

like I said - the top right banner is hosted on hexusads.fluent.ltd.uk

if you have an add appearing anywhere else then its a problem with your system.
I suggest you check this with alternat browsers and an updated antispyware suite.

As you can see the add is hosted at tribal fusion.

I am using firefox and i have the newest M$ antivirus and the New Version of spysweeper, both with the latest definitions.

    try spybot search and destroy.

also check your hosts file for any extra entries. Thats not a hexus sponsored add.

Often these things will install with other software , so go through your add/remove programs with a fine toothed comb.

    do a cmd -> netstat -a > c:\foobar.txt

and copy the results of foobar.txt

run that a within about 3 seconds of loading a hexus forum page.

    also check any proxy settings.

thers another little util that does basically the same as netstat , but like Forrest Gump's mum , its explains things so as I can understand them

    http://www.protect-me.com/freeware.html

its called Active Ports. look for non IE/Firefox processes trying to connect outbound.

OK, i checked running tasks with win tasks pro, noting bad.

So i have downloaded and run active ports. The only thing i saw flash apart from firefox.exe was what look like an inside network connecting at ip 192.168.0.3

Whats the difference between green and red flash? I really dont quite get what i am looking for.

I tested it while reloading the hexus forums, the tribal fusion adds only appear sometimes, that could help right? but i could not see any difference between the tribal fusion refreshes and the hexus refreshes on active ports.
