    Yes - this question has been asked many times*. I think people generally go for Avast (above), or AVG (like me).

    Of course, there is the option to go for non as some people do, but I think it's better to be safe that sorry .

    I agree with Matt1eD Avast is probably the best free AV.

    Although I never understand why people opt for software because it is free. Some software is worth paying for over free software. I rate Nod32 quite highly and would recommend it to anyone.

    could somone link me to avast please? i could google for it but i have had problems with spoof sites before on google...

    I agree especially when compared to expensive corporate versions such as Norton will whenever it finds a virus never cleans it and instead deletes all my word documents etc.
