    McAffe Harassment

My pc at home isn't connected to the internet and every time i turn my pc on i am harassed about 4-5 times by McAffe to "Connect to the internet and update". Obviously i cant do this and just want the damn thing to leave me alone. I have ticked a box in the options to disable automatic updates to allow me to do it manually and even when i exit out of the thing in the task bar and stop McAffe all togther the damn reminder thing still comes up. What can i do?

Yeah i have my pc on the net at home but in my student house we barley have electricity let alone the internet. Just want the harrassment to stop. Annoying that even when i exit and shut down the anti virus it still bugs me with messages.

    Can any McAffe owners help?

McSfee will remind you to update whatever you do (except uninstall it) to update your virus defs, its kinda a useful feature for most people.

Download this at uni, take home and run.

    http://www.mcafeesecurity.com/us/dow...s/superdat.asp

It'll be the newist SuperDAT. This will update your Virus defs & the engine. Should stop it bitchin for a while anyway....
