Ms Access Entry/Exit Database or Database by any other maker.

Think this is the right area for this.

I need a database program (Ms Access based preffered) that will allow me to log in visitors to my place of work and also allow me to add a photo of the person.
    Heres what i need.

I need it to have fields for name, dob and id number.
I also need to it auto log time in and out when the id number is inserted.
also would like it to bring up persons details when either id number, name, dob is entered.
And if possible when a person is added it will generate an id number for them.

For instance if i type in an id number it will bring the person up and log them in. When the person leaves i again type in the id number and the person gets logged out.

Hope you get the guist of it because i cant find anything that will suit.
Thanks for any help in advance guys or girls.

Access will do this simply and easily, what bits of the problem statement can't you do?

What course is the work being set for or is it part of your job?

Yep, that would indeed take you about 30 minutes to set up in access. only trouble might be integration with webcam software, but i dare say you bodge it. It would probably be easier to do in some kind of standalone program as then you could get direct accessto the webcam.

if you wanted to be able to grab images as well , you'd probably have to use more than access as a front end ( unless you used seperate software to grab the images and save the file as <userid>.jpg - the front end would knwo to pick that up from an images folder.
