    Need some advice/ help

    Hi all

I recently had a major crash and had to get my pc sorted out at a local computer shop as i kept on getting the blue screen of death due to some error problem it came up with, problem was the screen went away to fast so i couldnt see what it said. it just showed the blue screen and restarted the system, i couldnt even load up windows, so i had to take it to the shop as when i went for a clean install the blooming windows xp cd couldnt even recognise my hard drive. So giving up all hope i went to the computer shop down the road from me.
Anyways i just got my computer back from the shop and it keeps happening again except this time windows xp actually loads up rther than doing nothing like last time. Again it restarts immediately when the screen comes up so i cant read what it says. Is there anyone who could recommend anything as i dont want my system to crash again badly, each time after starting normally it says windows has recovered from a major crash.
Was also wondering is the any program that you can use to check the system for error logs or anyhitng like that

    system specs:
    windows xp professional
    amd athlon 64 3400+
    512mb
    ati radeon x800 pro
    asus k8v motherboard
    120gb hard drive

    any help is appreciated, ty

Right click My Computer > Properties > advanced tab > Start up and recovery "settings" button. Under "system failure" uncheck automatically restart.

This should at least enable you to read the BSOD. Repost what your BSOD says here.
