Question Exchange 2003 & Routing Groups

I need to set up two users to receive email for another user while that user is also receiving their own email.

So its sent to person 1, but person 2 & 3 also get the email.

How do I set this up in exchange 2003?

    Thanks

Do you just want person 2 and 3 to be able to read person 1's mailbox? If so set them up as delegates through outlook (use the online help to see how.
If you dont want to give them access to 1's mailbox but to recieve 1's email, then the best way I can think of is to add 2 and 3 to a distribution list with an email addy and through person1's properties in AD set mail to be forwarded to the distribution list.

Person 2 & 3 need to receive the email as if it was sent directly to them, but person 1 must not know about it.

A bit of cloak n dagger stuff, which I really hate, but its a clients requirements...

I'm not 100% sure it'll work, but do as I said above - create a distribution list with 2 and 3 as members. Go to person 1's properties in AD and goto exchange general, click delivery options and select forward to. Select the distribution list you have created and OK it, then click the checkbox to send to both recipient and forwarding address.
Create 3 dummy accounts first adn test it with them. If it works, great if not, no one gets upset

be VERY carefull with this as its a bit of a minefield.

just for a second imagine that you've emailed perason "1" with your intended mail , but you've switched on read receipts.

    you receive 3 read receipts from persons 1, 2 & 3

how long do you have to do this for ?

if its only for a short while , then I'd reccomend using something like GFI Mailarchiver ( it has a 30 day free trial )
I've sucessfully made use of this for monitoring mail before.

Also be VERY careful about legality here.

Last time I was involved in this kind of thing with an Internal Audit department, the person being monitored must have signed a document that explains that they may have their email monitored in a controlled manner but only for as long as is required to investigate a complaint and AFTER the person had been approached and asked for permission to read their current mailbox contents (or forward copies of the mails).

Any system which "reads" mails for content must be 100% automated and do it anonymously - you can't, for example, have a copy of the mail forwarded to another account because it contains a keyword and then have someone read that mailbox.

Things might have changed in the last 15 months or so, but this was the state of play when I worked in a bank in the UK after much investigation.

    Scary! Didn't think of that.

Madman045 get the request in writing/email confirming EXACTILY what they want. Keep it in a safe place. That way, when the **** hits the fan, it doesn't land on you
This way, also the legal stuff is not your problem. It will be the companies problem

We had to do this a while back for a short time. Notwithstanding all of the legal issues and comments above (yes they do apply so be very careful how you implement this!), we did it by doing the following:

    Create a second mailbox store.
Create a 'monitor' mailbox on this store.
In the properties of the store, check 'archive all messages sent and received by mailboxes on this store', and choose the 'monitoring' mailbox as the destination for copies of all mails.
Give permissions to this 'monitor' mailbox, ONLY to those staff that are required by the company to read all the copied mail.
Move the person who's mailbox is being monitored, from the main mailbox store to the monitored store.
Configure the 'readers' Outlook to open the additional mailbox on the monitored store.

I may have missed out some details here, but that's roughly how we had to do it. This should only be done after the written approval of all affected parties, and the full knowledge of Senior Management and certainly the company's HR department.
