Nero 7 - now out and looking good!

Nero 7 looks great. Anyone tried it yet? Apart from the expected HD support, it now includes Media Management System...

Nero Home is a new and innovative media manager that provides fast access to the user’s entire digital media library via remote control. From the comfort of the user’s own living room, digital media can be viewed on a plasma, LCD or CRT TV. Nero Home integrates TV time-shifting, and DVD, music and video playback. It has a simplified interface and a TV wizard to walk users through a simple setup.

I have personally always prefered Roxio for media creation. I just find the user interface so much nicer to use, with more features that are just simple and straightfoward.

Nero 7 does however look very good.

Nero 6 was even quicker (a lot quicker) than Nero 5. Whats gone wrong with 7, or are you sure your not using different settings? Something else gone wrong? (never thought much of nero 5 TBH, 6 rocks though with all the extra stuff too)

There is no contest between Roxio and Nero. Nero's burning engine is way better, but yes some people perfer in the interface. Personally i far prefer the Nero one, but maybe thats just me

nero 6 was even slower, only thing i can think of is the filter interface they use dosen't like having 4 virtual proccessors or my scsi raid controller..... I emailed them about it, never got a reply (i sent a really detailed one too!)

I think I tried Nero 6 before... I prefered Nero 5, and I still use it whenever I do CD burning on Windows.

We've just got Nero 7 in at work - if we have anything that needs burning, i'll test it out and let you know!

Nero 7 is a buggy bit of crap tbh, never have I burnt so many coasters, go back to Nero 6 and what do you know it works. It locks up, it crashes, it seems to forget what its doing and waits then starts burning again and I have also noticed the 10+ min gain on burning a dvdr.

I will stick with Nero 6, Nero 7 is faulty on every machine I have installed it on.
