Recommendations please

Please could anyone recommend a small distribution of Linux for me (to fit onto a USB Flash Drive (size 256MB to say 1GB!)

So far I've heard of DAMN SMALL LINUX and a live CD?

Damn small linux would be my choice.

i would usually recommend a livecd over a pendrive distro - more systems can boot from cd than usb, and you can still use a usb drive to save stuff

Whoops, I just simply went through my posts created and saw what wasn't answered and BUMPED them. Actually forgot we talked about the USB distros on the other thread, as I thought the information in my head on the topic was from friends and collegue.
