    Has anyone working with CSS not had this problem?

    I've got a positioning error, and I've search for a solution, but nothing I can find is giving me any results.

    Anyone know of a quick fix?

    Have a look at the site below...

    www.ninesquare-systems.com/newsite/index.htm

    and have a look at the kink in the line running along the bottom of the main box. I can't get rid of this. If I have it aligned in IE it's two pixels out in one direction, and if I have it aligned in FF it's two pixels out in the other direction. So far all I've come up with is having it just one pixel out on either browser, but I couldn't sleep last night because of it (anal, I know).

    Please, please please can someone help, it's doing my nut.

    Ta.

    .ns_featurelogo
    {
    Z-INDEX: 5;
    LEFT: 453px;
    FLOAT: right;
    WIDTH: 100px;
    POSITION: absolute;
    TOP: 272px
    }
    *html .ns_featurelogo
    {
    top: 273px;
    }

    IE is the only browser that will read rules beginning with *html. Although IE7 is going to ignore it apparently so the only way in future will be to load two different style sheets with a javascript check. You could really dramatically reduce the size of your CSS file with some inheritance. In addition all CSS properties should be in lower case to be XHTML compliant

    Iain...thanks for the help. After reading all the other times you've been required to assist with CSS problems I knew you'd be able to help. You're my hero

    All the mess inside the CSS file is because I've stolen it from a previous incarnation which was used within a significantly more complex site with lots of variety in design between pages.

    And all the uppercase stuff is because I'm using InterDev, and believe me, switching everything to uppercase is the least of my worries. It also messes around with my border, size and layout settings for no apparent reason....driving me nuts? Slightly.

    Thanks again, I'll give it a go.

    I've always thought that Interdev was great. Plain text editor, colour coding, good project handling, but the longer I've used it, the more bugs you find....it just likes playing with your files just to mess you up. After five years of using it for webdev I'm seriously considering shifting. I wonder if Dreamweaver is any better than it used to be                 &nbs p;

    Yeah DW is defo better than it used to be, but i still like using textpad or vi, once you have setup the config files properly they are both great for html/css editing
