Hello fellow Hexites,
I have recently re-installed Windows XP on my machine as it was getting sluggish, and it was way past due. When i boot into windows it recognises my spare Maxtor 300GB as unallocated space, even though i have not formatted it. I have already installed service pack 2 so there should be no issues with the size of the drive. I really don't want to loose all my data by having to re-format it.
Why does WinXP not recognise the data on the hard drive? It didn't have any problems recognising my other SATA drive, it's just having problems with my 300GB IDE drive.
All the drives are NFTS.
Any Solutions?
Thanks
Pete
