Here's some additional plugins for FF which I find really useful

Some very useful add-ons here, thanks.
I recently came across Dr-Web link scanner allowing you to scan download links and links to web pages beforehand to see if a download or web page is safe. It works by adding an entry in the right-click menu within your browser
Dr Web is a trustworthy Russian company that develop security products for computers including anti-virus software and the above mentioned link scanner they also have won multiple VB100 awards so are quite secure although they haven't won it since 2006 there's no alternative plug-in that does this that I'm aware of.
Works for Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer (no Chrome yet)

Not sure how much this thread is used but hopefully these will be of help. All for Firefox:
Invisible hand Cross refences lots of websites to find the best deal. Doesn't work on all websites but I've found it to work on most of them - tends to compare from scan to amazon but doesn't suggest scan if you're looking on amazon. Very useful tool though. Very passive and non-intrusive.
AutoPager - Automatically loads the next page when browsing. Good for blogs/amazon/reviews and general browsing. Again, non-intrusive, rarely notice it's there (have used others that do the same but you can clearly see the big gap between pages, this is much less so). Doesn't work on every website but most of the major ones.
Multi Links - Reasonably useful, not used it a huge amount to be honest.
Screen Capture Elite - Allows you to select a webpage and screenshot it/save it directly. Useful for if building on scan but again, not used much as only found it recently.
Sweet!
Seems like I'll be trying some these plugins out ;D
Firefox has a chat plug in: ChatZilla - Is there an equivallent plug in for IE8?
InvisibleHand is a must! Saves so much time searching around for different prices!
I use an add-on called Foxtab, it better and quicker way of accessing bookmarks.
Quite similar to viewing multiple windows in Windows 7 Aero theme.

Much better than trying to tweak the network settings in Firefox yourself, just use the fasterfox extension. But before you do that, you should definitely check out The Deer Park build of Firefox.
The Deer Park build and that extension together are awesome. I genuinely noticed a huge speed boost while browsing.
The Deer Park build is an optimised version of firefox that takes better advantage of newer hardware as well as having a few other tweaks (to put it in layman’s terms).
What is the best Page Rank/SEO plugin for the firefox after Google Toolbar withdraw support form firefox and is not available for latest verson
I recently discovered Magicscroll extension for Google Chrome, a very convenient way to read epub files. It can open epub by URL and by uploading a file from PC
Huge fan of this for Firefox ...
Blank your Monitor
You can set it to a different colour scheme if you want. Can understand why many wouldn't be bothered with it, but I have had problems with my eyes and sometimes this has made the difference between me being able to use a computer or not.BLANK YOUR MONITOR
BYM provide a simple mechanism to change Firefox color combination in order to invert the usage of white and black colors.
Anyone who uses Steam I highly recommend Enhanced Steam
For FF & Chrome
Highlights what you own/wish list, shows current cheapest price (on many many websites) and historically cheapest it's been. Adds loads of links into other steam based websites for extra information, highlights 3rd party DRM on games etc etc etc

These informations are very useful for Firefox users!
Im 2 for 2 on employers that make me use an ancient web browser. Web pages look like heck. Eventually my last employer broke down and let us use Firefox because it started getting in the way of work.
I was using Chrome here for a while but I think they caught on.
What do you officially get to use at work?
