    Firefox bookmarks

Does anyone know where there stored?

Turned the PC on today and theyve all disspeared, so Im not sure if its jsut forgot about them, or whether there saved in the program itself, and then theyve been errored and deleted themselves for some reason?

I presume they are in your profiles directory. If you dont know where that is the default location is:

docs and settings\username\application data\mozilla\firefox\profiles, on a windows machine.

Yep, bookmarks.html is the file you're after - if you've lost your bookmarks (as I did this morning) that file will be empty.

But I found a backup folder in the ...firefox\profiles folder, so have a look and there might be a suitable file there

Firefox did that to me once, I never found them. I like firefox, but I don't like the way it uses 'profiles' and that.
I use IE for bookmarks, and don't have any stored in firefox.

So there isn't a backup folder wher I said I found mine?

I don't remember making it myself, so I'm not sure why you haven't got it.

I think bookmark backups were introduced with 1.5. I lost m bookmarks the other day (my own fault), but the backups had just the default bookmarks in them, so it wasn't much use anyway.

The bookmarks backup folder is located at:

    C:\Documents and Settings\*youraccountname*\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*randomcharacters*.default\bookmarkbackups\

It seems to keep 5 days worth from what I can tell.
