    IE7 Beta 2

    Hey Guys,
I have just started using IE7 Beta 2, it seems ok so far, a few css errors on a few sites i've noticed, it wont replace firefox as my main browser but will be interesting to see how users respond to it, what are other peoples views and opinions?

    It's okay so far

Like the function when you have more than say 3 tabs open and Press CTRL+Q means you can see a mini version of the pages, like windows thumbnails in music folders.

Not really noticed any other issues at the moment.

I found the way you can add search engines quite good, just wondering how secure it is and whether it will end up being exploited

Its quite nice. The only major things I wish FF had were the live page/site previews in a single tab and the button that displayes all the RSS feeds of a particular page/site. These features could easily become an essential part of modern web browser, the live previews are particularly handy and cleaver. Despite this ill be sticking to FF, it will probably have similar features in the future.

EDIT 16/2/06: look what I found". It works great but the live previews arn't as nice looking as the IE ones and they appear to be widescreen. Still its a great extension.

i wonder how long it will take before ff acquires these functions and improves upon them, the live page/site previews is very flash.

    It does indeed

For those who don't have it, you don't need to be on the Vista beta program or an MSDN subscriber, just visit...

I want to like IE, but the layout makes me feel dizzy and I love my Modern Pinball FF theme, Web Developer & StumbleUpon toolbars far too much!

Not actually tried it, but from the tour, it looks just like FF with the tabs and the google bar...

The security information looks a good idea though, but I'm pretty sure there's a FF extension for that somewhere.

I've been using IE7 from Beta 1 release, and I recommend any of you to try this Beta 2 Preview release. Really is good.

Just installed it. I'd run Beta 1 after getting an invitation to join Vista & Longhorn Server testing and I really didn't like it. This does look much better and cleaner. Still a few weird things, and I much prefer the FF way of managing bookmarks.

Like most people, it's going to take a lot to draw me away from Firefox. I could just not live without my extensions etc.
