oo looks kinda funky, may have to give it a try Whats it like, compared to other distros?
When using konqueror (with suse 8.1 here) I point it to smb://PCNAME/ (SMB as in Samba)
and it finds it, it may ask for a username and password aswell.
Knoppix rules...got it about a week ago.
Love it really.
Not tried it on a network...but that'll change at school when I get a quiet moment. And I have checked the rules...no installed software etc...so I;m fine

it seems very responsive even on a p2-350, 192mb system. looks very good and has loads of useful apps, and was easy to configure as well.

Also I was suprised at the speed considering its all loaded of a CD (I know it uses RAM Drives, but still...)

Not tried that distro but with any linux you need samba client installed. By far the easiest way to handle windows shares is to mount them as a mnt point
If you have samba installed then you can mount them as if they are drives on your machine. If you have Samba installed AND have Konkerour (sp) the browser installed then you can do the smb://PCNAME/ as shown above.
