    Disk check/repair tools

I'm looking for general tools I can use to repair the filesystem on a Compaq DL380 running as a cisco callmanager.
There is a directory on it that has too many files in it for the NTFS filesystem to handle by the looks of the things and I want to empty it. The problem is I cannot access the contents through explorer or the command line.
I shall be doing chkdisk at 5pm

ouch - this may be one of those tims where some form of live CD ( ERD Commander or a Linux CD may well help - as long as it has smart array drivers. )
