List Files

I've got a 30 gig external HDD which is v. old and I have nothing to back it up onto. All I store on it are MP3s, CD isos, vids etc. Pretty much all of which is recoverable.

I'd like a list of all the file names, their directories and for the MP3s preferably the ID3 tags if poss. as some have non-sensical names. Anything around to do this? Cheers.

Well the files and folders are easy; open a command prompt and navigate to the drive. At the root of the drive, type dir /s > C:\mylist.txt. That'll create a text file with all of the filenames shown under the folders that they're in. MP3s I can't help you with.

maybe tag & rename can do your mps with tags?

Thanks to both of you. Krksoft on HTML did the job beautifully, have added a feature request for the ID3 tagging.
