    Mic problem

The mic port on my motherboard does not seem to work and i NEED it for battlefield lol

The mic definately works and i have not damaged the port and so i am thinking it could be a software problem. Do i just reinstall my motherboard drivers or what to try and rule software out?

    Thanks

I have done that but as far as i can tell it was already on those settings and it definately is now. However it still does not work. I also have NV mixer as well as the windows one, could these be conflicting or something?

how do you know it definately works

    The mic definately works
    when you say

The mic port on my motherboard does not seem to work
what is giving you the idea that the mic port is working on the motherboard at all ?

or when you say mic do you mean physical microphone
    It is Inevitable.....

    i assumed so ikonia

personally not a fan of nvmixer nvening, but i cant see it causing these sorta problems. you tried making the mic work in line in port? can be very hard to configure tho.

do you get feedback when the mic touches the port, cos normally that shold happen.

I know the mic itself works because i have tested it elsewhere. I am at the moment trying to discover weather the problem lies in the software or if there is something wrong with the motherboard.

If it does turn out to be a faulty mic port then you could always get a USB mic instead, I know it means paying out, but will probably be less than a new motherboard or soundcard.

Well there is always RMA of the motherboard. I just got a new Medusa headset which i had RMAed once and it was working!!

Shall i try and configure it by the line out then?
