Backing up a directory to a server... not as easy as it sounds

Ive got a program similar to Act (in the formatting/filestore style) which updates a load of DB's upon closing/editing.

What i want is to backup this collection of DB's at a set schedule... (Monday) rather like the windows backup system thats in place... however, as per Microshafts games, it backs up to an EXE file, which can only be restored on the computer it came from (to work) which is no good for this software we're using... i want to be able to just backup the raw files, so i can drag them to <users> pc's...

    Any advice/workarounds?

[e!] pondering over my jacket potato & curry, a batch file to copy the files from c:/porn to server:/vinis folder/porn would be good enough... any ideas on the content of the batch to do such?

I own a PC that changes regularly, so I don't bother putting anything in here...

Failing that install the Windows Server 2003 resource kit and use Robocopy - never failed me yet.

robocopy "source path" "destination path\UNC\mapped drive\whatever" /e should do pretty much what you're asking for. AND it sounds a bit like Robocop, which is pretty neat.

Grr, would it have been too difficult to implement a schedule?
