    Newbie browser question

This has been bugging me for years now.

Isn't there a way to manually delete a link saved on the url bar? For instance, let's say you accidentally type www.heuxs.net instead of www.hexus.net.

Firefox (and I guess IE) would sometime save that url, especially if it has already been registered. And it'll stay saved for a very very long time.

I know it is possible to completely clear all the urls on my url bar, but I don't want to do that either. So isn't there a way to select the ones you want to delete? It would be so easy to have the option to right click on an url and select delete. But apparently, it is not necessary for most people, because either most people don't need it, or there is a way that I haven't thought of.

Perhaps going through the history and deleting it there?

Thanks. It is still a bit more work than I expect (oh the lazyness xD). I don't suppose anyone has worked on a plugin (Firefox) to make this very basic function easier?

In Firefox, you can hover the link you do not want and hit "shift+delete", I have just tried it and it delete without a hitch. It used to work in IE but when I tried it on mine today it didn't.

Beautiful. I thought this thread was forgotten after my last reply. Going to the history doesn't always work as I later found out. Earlier I entered an url that was like sitename.org/bunchofstuffendingwithy. I wanted to bookmark the site's main page, and ended up missing the way.. Result? I got a site called sitename.orgy =/ Couldn't find it in the history, but shifty+delete worked. So here's a very late thanks
