    Picture Organizer, which one ?

I have alot of pictures that i taken and accumulate over the years, round about 5000 of thems and tons of other that i collect while surfing. Try Picasa 2, but the weird thing is that it only display 6-7 folders, even when I scan the whole computer. And in my "My Picture" alone there's 3xx folders already. Try reinstall it 5 times, every time it recognize a different number of folder. So have to dump it.

ACDSee is too Explorer like, dont like it

Adobe Bridge is too damn ugly and slow. And i dont want to use it for casual picture viewing either.

So is there anything left ? Really like something similar to Picasa, simply just for viewing.

have you tried going in and manually adding folders to Picassa?

I use it all the time. Sometimes it gets confused and doesn't automatically scan a folder, but usually i can persuade it to.

It's the best manager i've found, especially as it now previews RAW files too.

Yeah Google Picasa is highly recommended... if you can get it to work properly

just remembered, i did use the free version of the Adobe photo album (whatever it is called) for a while. Was good, but a bit of a memory hog and a lot slower than Picassa. Also it uses destructive edits, Picassa doesn't. What does this mean? In Picassa, if you crop, colour adjust then remove red eye (for example) it doesn't actually alter the image, it just remembers what you have done to it and applies those changes the next time the you view the file. so you can undo those changes at any time even months later after restarts, your original is always there. It also means you don't get quality loss from opening and re-saving JPEGs
