    Windows 64bit?

    I'm building a machine for someone this weekend and need to pick up a copy of Windows. I will be using the following intel processor.

    Intel Pentium D 920 Socket775 , Presler Core, 2x2.8 GHz , 4MB Cache, Retail

    Just wanted to know if I could use the 64bit version or will I need to get the normal 32bit version?

    Yes you can use the 64Bit version and it will be faster

    Alternatively you could install the 180 day trial of Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise x64 and sit out until Vista.

    It wasn't when I thought up my plan a couple of weeks back.

    It just seems a waste to buy XP so close to its release.

    The release has been pushed back to January 2007 so far as I'm aware. (For the average consumer at least)

    Will that operating system run games? Will it have much trouble with drivers?
