Hi guys.
Trig has recently mentioned that he uses O&O's defrag software.
Anyone else use something other than XP's built in defragger?

I use diskeeper lite it works really well its free and much much faster than the xp one.
I started off with the Lite version and agree with teachmech, its a very nice defragger. Then shifted to the full version, for the scheduling features as well as the MFT/paging file defrag. the drive is kept defragmented and have no problems whtsoever with it.
I agree with others on diskeeper, it does its job perfectly. Also the enterprise edition does great job on servers which gets defragged very frequently. 10 points for it.
so....what do they do that's BETTER than XP?
DO they move the swap file/page file to the outer edge of the hdd?

I use O&O on my 64bit and 32bit machines, and it's spot on.
Raxco Perfectdisk for me as well, first runs takes a bit of time, but then it flys through
i5 | Antec Sonata 3 | 4 GB | OCZ Vertex | Spinpoint F3 | Windows 7
With me its always a choice between O&O and raxco. Excellent results every time. At the moment im sticking with raxco however. Although most of my friends prefer diskeeper. At the high end of the spectrum those 3 seem to be king.
Once wrote a small command line based app that would defrag specified files. Worked like a charm![]()
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
Diskeeper 10 works great for me.![]()
Please forgive my ignorance here guys but could You tell me what the difference is between mentioned defragger software. Is it just down to speed?
Cheers.
