Unhappy Task Manager Is Looking Wrong

I'm sure this wasn't happening before I updated my graphics today. If I press CTRL+ALT+DEL to bring up the task manager as normal, it shows, but it looks wrong. There's no window bar with minimise, restore and maxismise buttons on it, and the usual tabs to show running programs/processes etc is missing too. This makes it pretty useless, as once it's open, I can't close it. I can't even right click the task bar and close it, as no right click menu appears. I just have to move it to the lower right corner or the screen by dragging it.

Anyone got any idea why this is happening, or how to fix it? Should I just uninstall my graphics drivers, restart and re-install again?

dubble-clicky just inside the main window border (e.g. in the blank space in the bottom left, next to the end task button)

Yeah just double click on a blank space.

Happened to me once, took me a few days to figure out how to fix it

indeed, bad user interface design at its most useful... the amount of times i use it to make that always on top network graph appear is almost worth trying to explain to my dad its not a virus and he needn't panic as to how it got onto an "air gap" protected machine (which runs accounts).
