    Saving websites?

Is it possable to save a whole, or part of, a website such that it fucntions as if it where on the web?

I know you can save a page, with our without the relevent images. But what i want to do is save large section of a site (80pages or so) onto disk so that i can browes it on another PC that isnt conected to the net.
    - There must be a why of doing this quickly/simply somhow, right?

depends on how the site is written.

the *nix tool "wget" can simplify this - "wget -m http://foo" will mirror the whole of the foo website. however, some sites use full paths rather than relative paths for links (which you'd need to fix on a per-file basis, easily scripted with "sed"); some sites use javascript (e.g. for image rollovers), which wget won't download full stop (wget will only mirror <img> and <a href> stuff, not stuff in <script>)

If your a windows user, just google for a web spider, these will usually download the whole site, following links to a depth you specify, outside links can be a pain though! (adverts and the like), but you can usually tell them to stick to one server. The better ones change all the relevent paths etc.

    Good luck with it!.

Its worth noting : Be careful which sites you use this on.
Some webmasters will ban your IP for doing such a thing.
