Linux and Windows on two separate Hard Drives

Is it posible to set up wix xp pro on one hard drive and set up suse 10 on a separate hd. If yes can you advice me of the process, pros and cons
If i had VM Ware I won't mind dual booting on the same hard drive. So is two hd better than one?

You just install Windows on one hard drive, and SUSE on the other. Make sure you install Windows first, since it doesn't play nice with Linux - you'll be unable to boot into SUSE if you install Windows, whereas SUSE will add Windows to its own boot menu.

Personally, I have Linux and Windows on the same partition at the moment. I'm not sure whether there really are any benefits of using two separate hard drives.

my desktop has a single drive containing xp32, xp64 and amd64 debian linux - the laptop has xp32 and ubuntu. it's pretty simple to set up dual-boot, and almost all distros can handle it for you (exceptions include linspire linux, and evil entity linux, both of which will erase any windows installs they find by default)

as mike_w suggests though, there are few benefits from a separate drive rather than a partitioned single drive

OOOps sorry about the forum mishap Agent.

Thanks for advice Mike W & directhex, i was adviced by a friend of mine that 2 harddrives was a better route. will go dual booting as you guys have suggested.

I will be using Win XP Pro X64, with either SUSE 10 or CENTOS 4.2, is there any issues i should be aware of?

    Thanks for your help.
