    Uninstalled IE7 now IE6 screwed

I was using the beta 2 version of IE7(and liking what I was seeing). However, it had started causing a prob or 2 with my sys(mainly that when using windows explorer to look at files on a drive) it caused explorer to keep crashing. It also kept crashing my desktop and causing a script error when trying to recover the active desktop.

I know it was IE7 doing this as I installed it on my parents PC and same thing started happening.

I uninstalled it on their PC and all ok. However, when I did the same on my pc, whenever I ran IE6 it kept giving a file "null" not found error.

Tried the win update site with no success.

    Suggestions(apart from using firefox).
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

Best bet would be to do a repair install of Windows. IE is way too embedded within XP to be trying to fix it IMO.

I just received an invite from Microsoft to test IE7 amongst other things. I downloaded it separately (x64 bit version, 24Mb approx) and installed it with no problems. It looks impressive and allows a variety of different search engines, any of which may be set as default. No problems so far, will keep y'all posted.

Simple solution to this I have found is to tick the box in the explorer options that say's

"Launch folder windows in a seperate process"

This stops explorer going potty every 3 minutes
