    Changing The 'Offline Files' Location?

I wish to have my offline files stored entirely on one partition. But cant for the life of me find a solution on how to do this... anyone got any ideas?

unless there is a decent hack or tweak it doens't appear you can do this. I am really dissappointed with Offline Files, I was expecting my network drive and the appropriate folder tostill be there with all the files in the correct folders when working offline. Instead it seems like they are only accessible through the offline files tool and everything is bundled together.

Or am i just doing something wrong?

i dont know whats its like if your running a home system, but the way we do it is:

each user is assigned a drive letter on the server ($user = u:\)

we get our users to stick all their 'my documents' in there, and then map this to their my documents folder. and make it offline.

so in effect their my docs links to this U: and uses the offline files. whilst keeping the structure of 'my docs'

    - about as clear as mud that description eh

If you make the entire network drive available offline I think it's possible, but that's a lot of synchronisation...

And what you said makes sense Vini - it's how I run my home network.

    my situation is...

    user has a 40gb drive, with 2 partitions: a (15gb) and b (20gb)

he was filling c: so we shifted his docs to d: as a temp fix. we then moved them to this u: and made them offline. now were back to square one. his c: is critically low on space, why? because his offline files are there... grrr.... whilst his d: is empty.

Ah I see. AFAIK the offline folders will always be held on the boot partition, but I'm googling now
