Intel EtherExpress Pro/100 Server Adapter driver....

I have been looking everywhere for a driver for this card, and none of them work. Firstly I have tried the ones on the Intel site and Windows doesn't automatically install them as it doesn't seem to realise they are for that card, and when I force install I just get "The device cannot start (code 10)".

Any ideas?

The ones on the Intel Site work perfectly for me. You sure you're getting the right ones?

What OS you trying them with? What Mobo?

Might be worth checking your downloading the right adapter Driver? Try here to identify the adapter.

There are a lot of different cards with different chipsets in that series - I'd pull the card out, get an exact model number off the card, then check that on intel's site.

I was going by the description on the box, which says exactly "Intel EtherExpress Pro/100 Server Adapter". Though it may be worth using that identifier to find out exactly what it is.

The OS is XP Pro and the motherboard is the Epox 8k9a2+.

I'll try the ID program when I get home, see if it says anything different.

I can't find an actual model number on the card itself, just the processor number on it.

Are the Intel Pro/100 Server series with their own processors any good?

Yeah, I found it. There is a Windows 2000 driver, but apparently it doesnt work on WindowsXP (not even with the 2000 driver). Time for the Bin then

I suppose I could put it in my server (Running Linux) and use the SIS card in there for something else.

Have a look at the "NIC for under £12" thread if you can, I MAY have something I can pick up and use instead, unless they have crap old versions too....
