So, is this different from the validation check the MS site goes through when you download updates etc?
I run all genuine software her and at work, so i don't know what message you get when you dont
(btw, the Action Pack is great, highly recomended)
The majority of people that are running illegal software ,know they are. All this means is that some guy in his bedroom will have to spend a few hours cracking this for the masses.
While it may prove helpful for those people who have genuinely been caught out, for all of the “real” pirates out there, it wont make a blind bit of difference.
If anything, it will probably cause more inconvenience to the masses of people that will get false positives.
TTIUWP, oh wait.. theres some here

Can't you turn off WGA in IE through disabling the plugin? Or has this just fixed that amongst bringing in nagging?

Agent, you'd be suprised how many people buy pirate copies, often without realising it. I hate thouse people, its like saying you can't blame drug dealers been there because their drug addicts about... sure you can.
People who know their doing wrong, will find a new way round it, it takes effort, some people might realise that the £70 isn't really that bad a price when you think that its lasted well over 4 years. Lets think of it as a £1.50 a month fee. Hell yeh its worth that, if not install another OS. Stealing it is wrong when its so fairly priced. So MS pissing off people who are running their OS illegally, so what, as long as it dosen't malfunction and start occoring on legal copies.
Now as for office, that's a ***king rip off, one version barely lasts 2 years (office 2000, XP, 2003!!?!) and costs a bloody bomb.

MS makes most of its money from Office iirc
Primary kit:
Fuji S5 Pro - Nikkor AF 50/1.8 - Nikkor AF 85/1.8
Epson RD-1
Film Kit:
Leica M3 - Summicron 50/2 DR - Zeiss ZM 25/2.8 - M-Rokkor 40/2
Olympus OM2n - Zuiko 50/2 Macro - Zuiko 50/1.4 - Zuiko 35/2.8
Indeed, i was once told it was over 90% taking into account how many people use windows JUST because of office been there, also it has very little support cost thats directly attributable to it.Originally Posted by Hans Voralberg
