depends on your laptop - if it a centrino / celeron m / pentium m / core solo / core duo - then the chips generally run cool enough for it to be fine - for example i'm running UD on a 1.5ghz celeron m Dell laptop, and 50% of time or more the fan isn't even on...

Apart from the hiccups on the 6th and 12th of May, the Grid seems to be pretty stable at the mo, and pulling in some good stats. I've noticed we've been going up in the rankings too.. Yay!

i have a pentium m, and its not that, its the dynamic clocking i am worried about

The Celeron M 1.5 I'm running in the laptop is almost as quick as the Pentium M 1.8 I've got in my main PC - neither of them seem to have any problems

I take delivery of 7 new 3.0Ghz P4s tomorrow, 512MB RAM, etc... won't be setting them up until wednesday, but they'll all get the client installed.
