    XP-Multi License

Thanks for all the info chaps, been away for a bit
The cheapest I've found is around £40 a copy for education, as technically we're not really under this category (School\college).
However a company may kindly donate us some machines. They were originaly purchased with win98, although they have all been upgraded to Xp. I know that their policy states machines may be disposed with the opriginal os the system came with as this was purchased with the machine. But...all now run XP. As far as I can see, they have a site license, hence it may still be legal to run xp on these machines (with their copy)?

No; if they retain their licenses, they are a separate institution from you, consequently, you are not covered by their licenses.

if you've got 5 machines, and a domain, the cheapest way by quite a way is to use open business software assurance (eOpen)

are the supplyer I've used before with best results, ring them, explain it, i think that will be the cheapest way.
