    Nec dvd_RW ND3500-AG DVD burner

    Hi

    I have a Nec dvd_RW ND3500-AG DVD burner

It doesn't play many cds now, I did try putting in discs that have worked in the drive before and not all of the discs I tried worked.

dvds work in this drive still

1.Is there a separate laser for dvds and cds?

2.can you send me the lastest drivers?

3.any other things i could try?

    Thanks in advance

Don't know about the specifics of that drive, but have you tried to clean the laser lens? I'd had similar problems and a wee blast of compressed air over the lens removed some dirt and allowed the drive to work properly again.

Yea, try using the removal tool as it has cause software problems with some drives (hasn't been known to damage hardware however). The uninstall utility should be available on their website, if not google is your friend
