    Server 2000 Network Drop

    Dear all,

We have a windows server 2000 system that has been running faultless for 7 months. Nothing has been changed with the setup of this machine.

The problem we have is that the machine drops off the network every now and then, just for a second or two.

I have tried different switches and i'm pondering if i should change the network card.....??

What do you think Hexus gurus!?

    I found the problem!!

It was a Xserve Mac running!!!!! Bl00dy macs!

Becuase people had mapped network drives to the Xserve it was causing a time out and then a second later it would come back online.

    Problems solved now.
